Oh Baby...Braxton Hicks!

So, update on baby boy Brummond, he is a pain in my......RIBs, Back, Stomach, HIpS, Tailbone...etc.  Haha!!! Its just a good thing I love him so much already, and I know all this crap is worth it!!! Nothing the Drs gave me over New Years was able to stop my contractions, I literally have them all day everyday and all night every night. Most of them are not painful, however they are Extremely uncomfortable.  They seriously come every 5 minutes, sometimes less.  I would love love love for this little guy to come early, but I know that every day he is in there is a step in the right direction for him.  I love feeling him move around, its the most amazing feeling in the entire world (except when his movements are directed at my ribs)! I'm so excited to have a son... even more excited to have a tiny lil snuggly baby again!  Ryann isn't much for that stuff anymore... haha. So, for now, I am reminding myself over and over that patience is a virtue.  Plus I still have tons and tons of things I need to accomplish before his arrival-for example, he needs A NAME!!!!! Why are boy names so much harder than girl names!? Will and I are having a very difficult time coming up with something unique that we both love. So ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! Other than that, he needs a quilt from his mommy, a bassinet, and diapers.  I'm thinking of trying the G Diapers, they are a cloth diaper with changeable liners, has anyone tried these? Any Positive? Negative experiences?  Well, thats all for now I guess, I'm gonna go start that quilt........probably. Haha~

Getting Better All the Time!

Sooooo!!! Lucky me, my Astoria Designs are finally starting to really sell! I think it might have alot to do with the new more vintage looking flowers I've been making, and I'm not gonna lie, I think they are pretty stinkin cute! On Everyone, not just babies! I've finally gotten stuff up on Etsy (slowly but surely!) as well as my blog, and I am so grateful for the person that invented PayPal! I love it haha! Have a look-see!!!

New Years Eve 2010 & New Years Day 2011

Well, my NYE was not quite what I had planned....I have been having BH contractions on and off all week, and noticed them getting closer and harder on Friday.  I know nothing about Braxton Hicks because I never had any with Ry. So I googled them (haha what don't I google?) and it said that if you feel more than 4 of them in one hour, you should go in and get checked. Well, I was noticing them like every 6-8 min. So I called in to the Dr.'s office, and they had me talk to the on call doc, and he said I should definitely go in just in case and have them check it out.  Sooooo.....I called Will and had him come get me and take me in to Labor & Delivery.  We got there and they hooked me up to the monitors, and I was having pretty good contractions every 5 min.  They checked my cervix, and said I was dilated to about 1/2 cm, nothing to be alarmed about.  Baby's heartbeat was great, and my blood pressure was normal.  So they monitored me for about an hour, and then decided to try giving me Nifedipine to stop the contractions. That did nothing, so they gave me another dose.  And after that did nadda, they decided to do a fetal fibronectin swab, which basically tests for the hormone that starts dilation.  That came back negative, and they said that pretty much guarantees I won't go into labor for at least 48 hrs.  Well, thats when my contractions started getting intense. They were a minute apart and starting to hurt.  The nurse told me, "Oh well, you're not in labor, so we are gonna send you home." I was like, seriously!? I am really worried, and this is not normal! She told me, "I send ppl home that are dilating and actually in labor having contractions like this!" And in my mind I screamed BS at her.  So she gave me a shot of terbutaline.  Wow, I seriously felt like I was going to die.  My contractions finally stopped, but I was practically having convulsions, and felt like I had just chugged 12 energy drinks and a box of sugar cubes!!! My head and heart were pounding soo hard, and I thought for sure I was gonna pass out, at this point my nurse walked back in and said, K you're not having anymore contractions so we are going to send ya home. So, although I felt AWFUL, I did not want to spend my New Years Eve in L&D with a nurse that didn't take me seriously, where not one DR was in sight.  We left and went to go get some chinese food, and before we even got home my contractions had started again.  They gave me a perscription for more Nifedipine, heaven knows why because it did nothing.  So I took it easy and watched Out Cold with Will & his bro Mike, and went to bed about 1:00.

New Years Day didn't pan out quite like I'd hoped either.  Will & Mike went snowboarding, which I was sooo glad Will got to finally go this year!!! And Ry and Hallie and I chilled at home most of the day.  I read alot of stories online about women who started having contractions at 33 weeks, and most of them basically said there was nothing I could do. So, being the weirdo I am about taking pills, I decided to call in and ask if it was alright that I stop taking the Nifedipine because it didn't do anything, and I would just deal with the contractions because I was anyways.  The on call doc told me I should just go in to L&D and have them check my dilation one more time, and if I wasn't that I could stop taking it.  Soooooo I drove my happy little butt back in to have them check me really quick.  Well, the good and bad news was that this time, I had a nurse that took what was going on seriously.  She hooked me up to the monitors and explained so much to me, called the dr like every 30 min. to keep him updated because my contractions were 2-3 min apart. Well, long story short(er) I was there for another 3 hrs being monitored, no changes in dilation, but discovered that I am between 60 & 70 % effaced. Yikes.  They wanted me to start taking terbutaline orally, and I begged them not to make me! So they sent me home with antibiotics just in case of infection, and more Nifedipine because they want to see if it starts working better after being in my system for 48 hrs. Bah! So here I sit, Sunday night, having contractions every 4-8 min (less than before, but still very worriesome to me), with a mondo headache due to all the medication I'm taking, and feeling crazy worried that my little boy is gonna try and come too early.  I am calling MY dr first thing tomorrow morning to have her assess the situation cause shes the only one I trust, and hopefully have her give me the betamethasone shots to help his lungs kick into gear just in case he gets here early.  I am so worried for him, so please pray for us to make it at least to 37 weeks!!!

My 22nd Birthday

My day started out so wonderful, Will brought me breakfast in bed (Cereal just like I had requested ;)). He was so excited about the gift he got me he made me open it right then! He brought me a big beautiful red and pink VS box, and I knew he had made my dreams come true~vintage wash boyfriend sweats & jacket!!! Ahhh, I have wanted them forever, and he picked them out all by his one, and they are amazing. After he left for work, Ryann and I showered and got ready for the day, and by ready for the day I mean hair and makeup & sweats! I cleaned my house (which is therapy for me) and played with my baby girl. My amazing SIL Jocey showed up at my door with balloons tied to a Diet Coke w/Lime, and my favorite bavarian cream filled doughnuts! I thought my day couldn't get any better, until Will showed up at home early from work, and took me uptown to run some errands.  I had stuff to do at the post office, and he had "something" to go do really quick.  So he dropped me off at the post office, and when he came back, my Ryann had disappeared to a babysitter, and there was my favorite tall vase from our one year anniversary filled with black callas, pink lillies, curly willow, and pink and green hydrangeas! Oh man was I in heaven, or so I thought, until he drove me to my favorite italian restaurant Le Nonne!! So after devouring my crab raviolis and italian lemon creme cake, we headed to pick up some stuff from the Sprint store.  While I was waiting for him to finish some stuff up, I was talking with one of his customers that said, "oh you're Britt's sister! He said he had to leave to go to his sister's party, so Happy Birthday!" and I lit up and said, "Will! I'm havin a party too!!?" haha this poor guy, his face just dropped, and he kept saying how sorry he was to Will for ruining the surprise hahaha!!! It was hilarious!!! I didn't care, I was just stoked I was having a party! So Will took me home, and Britt and Camille and Ryann were there waiting for me with a beautiful red velvet cake and presents! It was seriously the best!!! My honey made it the perfect day, he is the most wonderful guy in the whole world, and I'm such a lucky girl to have him!!! Needless to say, my birthday was amazing, and everything I hoped for and much much more!!!

Santa!!!!! We Know HIM!!!

Ryann got such a wonderful surprise on Christmas! Santa himself showed up at her front door, and brought her a pony!!! She was pretty unsure about him, and refused to sit on his lap, but she liked it when he jingled bells for her! She was so cute in her reindeer Christmas jammas, and LoooVed ripping open gifts! Every gift she opened she said "Wow!!!" It was so stinkin cute! She made out like a bandit, considering Mommy and Daddy decided no more toys....that didn't work out so hot. She has a toy room that is already Filled to the brim with toys, so we are just going to replace some old ones with the new ones.  Santa brought her a big jumpjump, a mini dyson vacuum like mommy's, a cute little baby boy (so she will understand a little more how to act with a baby, and she is doing incredible with it already).

The best gift of all was having Gramma and all of her Crane aunts and uncles here to celebrate with her! We love having all of us together, even though we just have a small house for all of us, its nice and cozy!
Ryann love love loves her Gramma, she gets so upset every time she has to leave, and is lost for days after :(, its a good thing she has so much fun with her while shes here though!  So this year, all us Crane kids drew names and decided it was homemade gifts only! This was so much fun, and I hope we keep the tradition up because it means so much more to have to put time and thought into a gift you have to make! Chauntelle made me a wayyyy cute knit headband, Trent made Chauntelle a really pretty mod podged shelf, I made Hallie a cute Monogram Necklace holder, Britt made Will some sweet shelves made out of skateboards, and Hallie is making Britt an Aggie Blanket.  Will and I (it had to be a joint effort because it took soooo much sanding) made Trent a giant Jenga set!!! It is so awesome, if I do say so myself! We had so much fun playing it, and we decided we are gonna have to make one to have at our house too!

Christmas was so awesome this year.  I love having my family here, I wish we could all be together more often.  I am so grateful for all the blessings my Heavenly Father has given me, and my family is definitely the most amazing gift He has given me.
